It was initially refused for the lack of service records, however they've arranged for a representative to come look at the situation in person.
At this point all I know is that there is a lapse in the service history. I have records from my ownership, but not before. There are only 2 service records the dealership can see from before I bought it. The dealership I purchased it from received the car at 26k miles. I purchased it at 28k miles. My service records are at 32k miles and 38k miles. Engine started making noise at 42k. A representative is coming to check every thing out some time next week. Until then, I can only be hopeful.

Who did you buy the car from?
If you can find out who the previous owner was you can contact them to see if they have service records. Even if they can only sign a sworn document under penalty of perjury that the maintenance was done you should be able to go to Small Claims Court with that.
