Did you buy it from a dealer?
Was it a CPO car?
Either way I think the manufacturer cannot now deny your claim because they should have warned you the warranty was void because of that lapse.


How do they know there was a lapse in service history?
If the oil were changed by a non-dealership, would the shop have been able to reset the computer? Probably not. Certainly not if the owner changed it.


Actually come to think of it my car is like yours-- I bought it as a CPO from a dealer but there was a lapse in the service history in the dealer's records.
