Let me put it this way: I like wearing Nike shoes. I've always liked Nike shoes for their good looks, durability and brand image (aside from that whole child sweat shop fiasco, a.k.a. "unintended acceleration" for Toyota). Sure, I've worn other shoes and they were OK, but when looking for a new pair of shoes that I know I will enjoy, I start with the Nike section.
I steer clear of the Skechers section entirely. They just don't appeal to me and I don't feel like I fall into their target demographic.
If Nike bought Skechers and made a badass shoe with the Skechers logo to try and pump up the brand, I'd just cut the Skechers logo off and sew on a Nike check haha  |
