I understand development cost and that is a good point. But RWD "technology is hardly new and I'm sure the Avalon didn't get any cheaper as the develop cost were amortized.
The FR-S is premium product and they should get what they can, I surely do in my business. But to play games for years like they were struggling to meet a price point is a little ingenious.
