I was interested in sponsorships when I was younger for paintball. Most of the people are correct, it depends on presentation. However, if you don't deliver, you won't get certain aspects from the sponsor.


Say you want an exhaust from HKS. They're not just going to give it to you for posting a review on the item. Anyone can do that. The best way is to use it practically. Do some semi-pro races, place in a show, etc. GET NOTICED.


Another way is to start small (I mean with small companies/businesses). Contact local sponsors or shops, build reputations. This will help open doors to the bigger names.


In the end, it would be more of a life decision than a side hobby if you really want to see any huge results. If you want to slowly upgrade your car, you can see results in a couple years. I don't know if this helped you, but I would hope it provided a little bit of clarity. If anyone wants to elaborate or counter my thoughts, please do. I would like to know for myself.
