A couple of things:
Get the ELM327 OBD port scanner and the torque app.
You can log everything you could ever want for ~$15 total.

Leave all the nannies on until you get familiar with the track, then disable them once you have some confidence built up. (pedal dance after experimenting with Sport mode)

For beginners a very important rule: STAY on the racing line. DO NOT "move over to let the faster cars by". The most dangerous thing on the track is newbie drivers that are unpredictable. Once you get a good spot, then wave them by, but dont make any sudden movements or move off the racing line for them.

The faster cars need to make sure it is safe to pass. It is not the slower car's responsibility to make room for them.
