Two problems with finding a buyer: no warranty; and its a project.
The no warranty thing can bite you especially bc of the added power. Something could go boom, or axle break, or trans chewed up, etc and now you're left with an expensive repair. Not only an expensive repair, but...
Its a project. Does it overheat after a couple hours? Does the car have unsorted issues? The dealer can say its perfect, but then you get home and realize the computer screen doesn't read mpg correctly and never will bc of the mods. (I don't know, it might work fine - just throwing out an example of something.) Then the issue of say breaking axles every 7k miles. (again - just an example, this car might be fine for life) The dealer wouldn't know anything about that, but the owner would need to find upgraded parts to handle the added power. Its a project.
On the flip side, it LOOKS well done, and lots of people are interested in a higher hp BRZ. There's definitely people out there that will find added value in the mods that were done. Now its just a matter of finding people in that subset that can afford the car and are in the market to buy it.
