The advice you are providing is sound and I agree with it. Ultimately the OP's decision, but you are using forsight vs fun-sight. I bought my vehicle because of a collision with a dresser which fell off a vehicle in front of my 2007 impreza. If that never happened, I'd still have my paid off car and though I'd wish I owned an FRS, I'd still love my car and extra $300/mo
