Did you actually hit the car that you were trying to avoid? I'm guessing you spin and bounced off a couple walls.

Did that car stop? Were there any witnesses that stopped and waited to speak with the police on your behalf?

It might be totaled, but it's hard to say. It does look like a solid amount of damage. Insurance companies determine if the car is totaled by looking at the amount of damage vs the value of the car. They begin to start considering totaling it around 75%.

Youre going to want to check your payoff value on the loan of you financed the car. If you didn't put a large chunk down or a considerable trade in amount, you're really going to either be happy that you have gap coverage or miserable that you don't.
