People will not stop street racing until it is seen as stupid and socially unacceptable, like drinking and driving or not wearing a seatbelt.
As track days become more popular, and clubs like these arrange cheap events, and street racing is publicly ridiculed by drivers and enthusiasts like us, things will improve.
We need the next generation of gearheads, who are currently in their preteens lurking autotrader for their first car, to dream about hitting the autox, the circuits, the drag strips, and becoming respected in our community. They must not dream of imitating the first few FnF movies.
Our disgust of that behavior on this forum and on all other automotive forums, at the track and at the red lights... That's what will stop street racing.
