If people are into street racing then they will race on the way to and the way back from the track anyway.
Contrary to the F&F scenario the vast majority of street races are not semi organised events with loads of hot girls in short shorts but just two cars that come across each other on the street. The drivers probably don't even know each other.

That can be true as well, the local streets around the Nurburgring (it has a name too) tends to have more accidents than the race track it self.
