I guess the question I'm trying to answer for myself is how practical do I want my next car to be...I considered a Lexus IS250 manual (hard to find) as a nice low key practical car that could still be kind of fun and reliable, but I don't really see the back seats being used much so maybe vestigal or non-existent back seats are still a good idea.
2014 is250? If it's the years before with the 4grfe and being direct injection only, I would run away. The is350 with the 2grfse is the one to get. Still though, how much of a driver's car do you want? The Is250/350 is numb and floaty. Coming from an mrspyder, there's no doubt the FRS/brz is fitting for you. I mean, you're active here on this forum. Seems as though it's time for you to get off the sidelines and actually get the car. Get the brz though. The FRS is the cheap ass POS version. Unless it's a monogram or whatever limited version go for the brz. I still wish I would've gotten a brz instead. Mainly for the headlights. But it really is the better value of the two, IMO.

If you can swing two cars, the other option would be to grab a clean ~$15k JDM sports car and a regular 4dr car as a DD. S2000 and 350z come to mind with a Toyota Matrix for people hauling and grocery getting duties.
