The car has two modes:
Under 3.5k rpm = Corolla with associated fuel economy
Over 4.5k rpm = Sports car fun fun fun
The only time you get stuck in it is if you choose the wrong gear. This ain't a BMW or Muscle Car, you gotta work it, like a Honda staying up in the Vtec.
