Wow this thread goes way back.. I acutally did a dyno comparison and the car picked up about 3-6whp after the break in period. I know there are tons of varialables but given a similar ambient temp and same car with 0 mods.. it was spot it. The secret.. non, just drive the car normally, dont baby it and dont go around redlining every chance you get. These things are meant to be driven, after all it is a new car. Supposedly ive read that what helps seal the rings is load.. meaning give it gas in higher gears at low RPM's and allow the car to decelerate in gear from 4-5k down. Other than than trust me.. you'll be fine. I even did an oil analysis afterwards and all was perfect. I'll see if you could find the post. The less you worry about it the better it'll be for you and the car. Just thing about how many people buy cars and just drive, its us enthusiasts that worry about the extra 1hp.
