To get codes from abs and Trac control modules you have to use vehicle specific diagnostics (uses same port but communication protocols are different and you get a ton more info). Global OBDII like most cheap readers use only shows generic codes. Basically unless you want to drop over $2k on a professional scanner (plus some more $ on software to support the particular car brands you will be using it on) you should have a dealer pull the codes. Oh, and if you can, get a picture of the service advisors face when they see your car :eek:
