I guess it depends on your wastegate sizing. Here's an
article from one of the Chevy V8 sites that talks about the application and how you can actually choose a wastegate too big that will bleed off more boost than you want.
By the way, one of our forum members who eventually sold his BRZ's had a setup that kept his boost capped at 10.5 psi with a Perrin EBCS Pro Tial wastegate and the 2.85 Vortech pulley which would normally get you to 13 psi at redline. Found his video on it:
