I guess I'm an anomaly, but I've been driving mine every day for a month now in San Antonio, and I haven't had one incident initiated by a stranger. I don't drive like a grandma either. I haven't had anyone roll down the window, not one rev, no waves, no questions at the gas station, no race me bros.. nothing. Actually, the guy at the popeyes drive through said "you like your BRZ?" as he was handing me my food, if that counts. I assume it's partly because they've been out a couple years, and partly because I'm an introvert and not very approachable.
The only thing of note that I can recall is that I arguably owned a challenger that was tailgating me on an otherwise empty two lane overpass. They didn't even fight back though. I let off the gas until they finally got in the right lane, then blew past them so they couldn't pass. They just sulked away and went to the other side of the highway after the merge. I knew they could smoke me if they wanted to.. maybe they didn't know that. I don't normally do things like that, but it pissed me off that I was being tailgated when there were only two cars on the road and there were two lanes.
