Firstly, what camber settings are you at?

With just lowering springs, these wheels will be a no go, you need coilovers.
I'm on 18x9 +35 on springs and I have only about 4-5mm clearance to the strut spring seat on -2.2 camber. You will be closer by 9mm hence the extra clearance by going on coilovers. As you stated, rears are probably okay but fronts are the issue.
Damn I just have the Tein S-tech Springs which lower the car 1.4 inches in the front and 1.2 inchs in the back so I have to have coilovers for them fit? Is the issue for them to be hitting the suspension or?? Because there was another thread on here with a dude who had Rota Torques 18x9.5 on front and rear he had coilovers but they didn't look like they had that much more camber than the natural camber from just putting the lower springs, on the wheels just seemed to stick out a bit http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15097
I am just wondering if they wont fit at all or if they will just stick out? I really love the look of the D2Ex's but I am not ready to throw 1600 on decent coilovers
Thanks for being patient with a new car enthusiast
