From what I understand about the stock audio system, your best bet on your budget is to get a set of components that will fit the dash and not touch doors, or a set of components w/ woofer/midrange in door and tweeter in dash and all stock front speakers. Both will likely need to be run off a small amp, but can be done in your budget if you're doing all the labor.

Last option would be to locate and remove stock amp, replace with regular 2ch amp, use that to drive full range door speakers.
I also read somewhere that the door speakers are woofers that run off the stock amp. Would it be better sounding if I put in a 2 channel amp to run door speakers? Or a 4 channel amp to run door speakers and front deck speakers? I like my music cranked up while I'm driving. I don't wanna spend big bucks. My other Scion car stock audio sounded much better than the FRS.
