Interesting, I've heard conflicting stories of wax lasting longer than RainX. I've used it in the past, but it would always take some effort to get it on properly. No doubt it works, but I had a lot of the problems associated with it in the past: chattering wipers, left over residues, fast fading.
Liquid and polymer based waxes seemed to be pretty popular these days. I might need to pick up a bottle when mine runs out.
On a somewhat related note, has anyone ever tried using shaving cream on the inside of their windshield/windows to prevent fogging? I use it on my bathroom mirror after showering and it definitely works there, just curious to see if anyone has tried in on a car.
