So like many of you on this thread I thoroughly enjoy winter driving. Of course you know that means a little "testing" of the road conditions after a snowfall. There are a few corners in my neighbourhood that just beg to be driven "slideways" and I, in turn, am happy to oblige them. Being a responsible {cough} adult I am always careful to look well ahead to make sure there are no people to scare, or oncoming traffic/parked cars to avoid in the middle of a drift.
Well this weekend on my approach to a slightly off-camber left hander, I noticed someone walking in the distance. After a brief hesitation I judged that my slide would be over when I reached the person so it would be safe to let one hang so to speak. I managed to trace a lovely arc while keeping the nose of the car very close to the inside snow bank. During the slide I was half-expecting a little derision from my audience. However, the reaction from the teenage boy as I calmly drove passed him after the slide was a huge grin and two thumbs way up!

Made my day.
