As others already mentioned, Power holds gears for faster / more responsive accelaration.
I drive mine in power mode all the time and then add to the fun via the paddle shifters. Really depends on how fast you are driving but in my common 50 and 60 km/h zones it will sit in 3rd, bouncing round 3000 and 4000rpm and on light steady throttle (at around 65) then click to 4th. In general city driving it effectively lops 5th and 6th off the list of gears.
I tend to gear brake often when pulling to a stop, but don't go all the way down to 1st (just 2nd) and let the auto box do the rest when coming to a stop. Unless you want to look like a tool pulling up to a stop and reving the crap out of your car.
I lovingly call Power the F*** that button as regular auto mode makes me want to /wrists.
Can't beleive how much more fun the car is due to that button and teamed with shifters.
