Controversially - and one more time - you do not need to heel and toe to downshift smoothly in a corner or entering a corner. If you find you are getting a lurch lifting the clutch, you are not using the clutch correctly. Lifting it to the slip point will take care of the revs and you can ease it out when they match. It is much easier to learn and much less prone to mistakes.
Heel and toe is only really required in race cars and when you are teetering on the absolute limits and want to absolutely maximize your speed, time and performance. You will also have a much lighter flywheel, no throttle release delay and a much sharper, less robust, and probably more expensive racing clutch.
Still I get that it's cool, sounds cool, feels cool etc. But its not required to drive quickly.
