I honestly think having learned to drive those old clunkers with saggy suspension, no electronics and direct steering (in my case; on iced, narrow and winding mountain roads) gave us a deep and intimate sense of the physics going on between the car and the road that kids today will never get.
I don't disapprove of better and safer cars on better and safer roads, I just have a vague feeling we've lost something along the road.
And I think what makes the GT86/FRS/BRZ so brilliant is that it manages to bring some of that magic back.

The 240 is a direct spiritual ancestor of the FR-S. People who don't get that suck ass. Especially the whiners who don't have a fucking clue how improbable the FR-S/BRZ is.
