This article is exactly what comes to mind when people go out of their way to talk shit on someone else's car. Sure, constructive criticism is cool and all. But most of you guys come off as condescending assholes. Maybe it's the internet's ability to take away a jokey tone, but either way, if all you're going to bring to the table is negativity, don't even bother.

You don't like what I'm doing to my car or what other people are doing to my car? Fine, no skin off my back, but don't go out of your way to leave a post saying "lolz excessive camber is ghey, you take a bewtifull care and make it totes ugly. thats so stoopid and your just rewining the car. how can u even drive it?!?!?!?!?1111??!?!?!" Because I can probably guess that if we were just kicking it a meet, you wouldn't say something like that to me personally, let alone seek me out if I'm not by my car. Sure, you can say that I just think you're a "hater" but, in reality, something that I've put time and effort and love and hate into obviously means something to me and I'm not looking for the negativity. On the other hand, if you said something like "Hey man, like what you've done with the car. But, what's the deal with X or Y?" We could then have an intelligent conversation about why I chose to do X or Y to my car and then, everyone is happy.

To put this into another perspective, if you have a dirty pig of a wife and you post a picture of you and her on your wedding day on here, I wouldn't leave a post about how disgusting she is. I just simply wouldn't bother. Get my drift?
OK so read the article and coincidently he made the same point that I did earlier about the big tires 70s cars. He almost had me at one point.
But... the he starts going off on other groups in such a totally hypocritical manner he blows his whole "let people do what they want" argument right away. It is no less offensive to stand back and slam the critiques then it is to be criticised!

"In my observation, the largest problems in the community today center around attitudes and egos." Yes but not just those observing these cars

"The biggest and most concerning of these issues is that the voice of the car enthusiast is being drowned out by that of the scene enthusiast. Unlike car enthusiasts, scene enthusiasts don’t appreciate the hobby as a whole, they like their segment of car modification and wholly reject the ideas, and opinions of people they feel ‘don’t get it’." The pot calling the kettle black here I think

"People have become so head down and focused on what they like, and so opposed to what they don’t, that they fail to realize they wear the same brand of blinders as those of the opposite opinion." Again said against the critiques but applies to both sides

"The second, and perhaps equally troubling problem within the community today has to do with egos. The double-edged sword that is social media has grossly inflated the egos of those doing nothing more than lather, rinse, repeating what the person before them did". So unless yours is totally different being proud is just a wash your hair comparison

"The loud, boisterous, vein, obnoxious, and attention seeking are being heralded while the humble, talented, creative, true innovators are being almost completely ignored." He is referring to anybody that stands up and says that sucks in the first line and the humble, etc guys are the stance crowd.

So what it boils down to is if you are against stance and speak up and say so you are a egotistical, loud, boisterous, vein, obnoxious, and attention seeking "scene enthusiast" who's car is as good as a hair wash.

If you are a stance guy you are humble, talented, creative and a true innovator.

Sorry, Berg but this is hypocrisy at it's best. And may I remind you that we didn't come to the stance forum and start being loud, boisterous, vain, obnoxious, and attention seeking, you came here.

Having said all that I would still grab my tools and assist anybody that wanted to do anything to their car but they would have to be prepared for the non stop razzing that would accompany it and I don't feel I have to say "man that is sweet" when it is done!
