This was enough for me to say no to 3" with my header:

The guy ended up selling it because it was way too loud and raspy even with two resonators along the front and mid pipes.
I know another guy locally with the same header who sold his Perrin 3" resonated catback a week after installing it because it was too loud.
Leave 3" for the turbo guys.
