Markups at (almost) EVERY dealership in SoCal...

After getting a call that they have a White FRS there that I could BUY (yes buy, not a demo or display car), I went to South Coast Toyota in Costa Mesa this morning to test drive it. I drove it and loved it, but the only problem i had was that they wanted a mark up of $4k OVER sticker price. The car was completely stock, no specialties were thrown in, no add ons, nothing! They tried justifying that by using their "supply and demand" and how limited this will be.

So when i come back home, I get a message from my local dealer saying that he was able to get my Firestorm one and wanted to give me more details on it. So I get there and ask him about price where he states, "let me be real with you, I highly doubt that ANYONE will sell this to you at MSRP...blah blah blah." But, he did agree with me on one topic, "I do believe that its a load of crap to add a mark up with no add-on's or anything 'special'."

After all that running around, I check my email and reminded myself of the salesman I've been in touch with in NV. He gave me a contract stating they'd sell at MSRP. (Yes, they gave me the price down to the cents)

So, I just wanted to warn everyone here that it may be difficult to get this car for the said price of $24.9k price we were all told or expected to pay. Expect BIG mark ups wit no add ons.

You have been WARNED

EDIT: I actually remembered the lady from South Coast telling me that she'll add a tinted windows option. lmao! yes, like that would help.
