Speaking from just the vortech side, you may want to upgrade to the v2 blower if you are going to see any sort of extended track usage. General consensus is that the v3 self-lubricated is great for the street, but for reliability you may want to look into the engine oil fed v2 blower.
I'm sure others with track experience can chime in, no doubt there are those who are running a v3 on the track, but I would go v2 if there is any serious track usage
