Futher to my post above, Tony's experience is more empirical evidence that a good oil can hold up well in this engine.
I will be on my initial factory fill for a while and am confident that when it's changed at 6 mos/6K miles it'll still have plenty of life left.

I used Toyota's 0w20 for that run. I went 14 months and put a little over 7k thousand miles on the oil. Those 7k miles would be considered hard compared to most drivers
