theowners manual recomends 98 ron fuel for best performance , it also states 95 ron fuel can be used but it will reduce performane ue to the ecu pulling timing when it detects knock.
the ecu should control knock well enough to prevent engine damage.
however if your car is stalling and idling erraticly this is likely to be another problem and you should get that fixed
