There was a post in the other car section comparing buying a 1964 Corvette vs. putting the money in an investment that tracks the overall stock market.
That $6k in 1964 turned into a $60k car today, not accounting for the money on upkeep.
(Edit: ok ~$120k for mint condition showroom floor 'vert)
That $6k would be worth >$600k if it tracked the stock market.
Just take care of the car you have now
