I think people are quick to forget all of the TRD things you can get for the FRS while keeping a warranty. Subaru no doubt dropped the ball with offering so little sti parts, however TRD seems to have nailed the starter mods for the frs/86 with BBK, coils, intake, exhaust and wheels. If Toyota released a special edition with these things and priced it at 20k more I'm sure they would fly off the lots. You need to remember that to the bean counters this car is simply a way of making money and with all the money that they've invested developing it, they have to squeeze as much money from it as they can meaning they will do as little r&d on it as possible while selling it at the same price
