Depends on how tall the rail is. I used to work at a car wash with a friction wash.

For lower cars, we'd put a wood block for the customer to drive on and that would make pretty much every car that came through be able to clear it. Although, I'd just recommend using a touchless wash where you just drive into that doesn't use a roller system. Or, go to a wash bay and hand wash.
