after driving many different set ups, I`ve learned that there are no comfortable coilovers for under $3000. if the maximum amount you can spend is a $1000, you should figure out what you want the most: comfort, drop, or performance. I don't think you can get all three for the $1k budget. and make sure to go for drives/rides in different set ups. what is comfortable for others may not be the best for you.

or, you can do what I did. take your gf/wife/significant other in a ride with a car set up with the Ohlins DFV kit. Now that she had a taste of a car that is way more comfortable and feels more planted (safer feeling), she is convinced that the more expensive kits are worth the investment
