I've run both E85 and 93 oct and both work great. I did a test awhile back to determine what difference the E85 actually makes. Because to me I couldn't really feel any difference.
So this is what I did:
I made data logs under identical conditions using both 85 and 93. I recorded the ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure along with throttle position, time, RPM and roadspeed. I ran the tests on the same roadway and gave the different tunes time to adjust.
The test was to go full throttle at 30 MPH at 3,000 RPM in third gear and hold it to redline (about 80 MPH).
The results were that the E85 was consistently one second faster.
But I don't use E85 lately. The price of gas keeps going down and like I said I couldn't really feel the difference.
