We have a gauge that gives average and instantaneous fuel economy in l/100 km. It is reasonable to say that for the sake of comparison to others with Canadian spec cars this is a reasonable measurement on an internet forum.

Dude decides to post an inquiry on comparing his fuel economy with others using a totally different measurement standard which requires everyone to pull out a calculator and figure it out. Wonders why the numbers don't align. Announces he is an engineering student.

Suggestion: Try using a more convoluted measurement, start a forum thread asking others to compare, listen to crickets.

For everyone else, lets keep things simple and understandable, leave mental challenges for the mentally challenged.
