I don't think there are "good" coilovers for 1K. They do have there place, and that is to get low for cheap. I'm speaking from first hand experience. I bought BC's about 6 months ago and have driven for about 6000 miles. They do not out perform the stock suspension in any way. The BC's are just too harsh (8K rates) for Houston roads and the dampers are just sub par on quality. Even on full soft on all 4 corners, I can't get comfortable with them. And comfort is key for me whether daily driving or out on the autocross. By comfort I mean the car doesn't feel as planted as on the stock suspension. On slight-medium bends and with mild speed (30-45mph) the car loses grip on minor road irregularities. I think it's a combination of 8K rate making the car hop over bumps and the inferior damper design not allowing the tire to contact the ground over the bump fast enough. Honestly, I wish I haven't bought them. Will be saving up for a proper coilovers.
