Sorry for seeming hostile but you are a member of a car forum dedicated to an ENTRY LEVEL sports car so really if this baffles you then I would take a step back and look at the nature of the car you purchased.
I totally agree that it is best to save up and buy the best quality you can and be happy with what you have in the mean time but you and I both know patience advice is easier given than received.
My advice still stands.

It is an entry level sports car, but that doesn't mean you should put parts on your car with far less engineering and R&D than said entry level sports car. The goal of modding your car should be to make it better, why spend money if it doesn't make the car better or maybe even makes it worse????

And if you lived in a better country than Canada you would have had $10K left over for mods after you bought the car!
