I guess, my question is, what exactly is your goal? Do you have a target spring rate in mind? What kind of performance goals do you have, and what tires are you currently running?

What did you think of the Balance of your RS*R? How do you want to change that?
The problem with the RSR Black i's, is that they were a street focused kit. It was too easy to bottom them out, both on the street and the track. I felt the rates were too soft, so I ran bigger bars. But the bigger rear bar made the car want to oversteer even with 235 star specs 3rd gear stock power. I want to run a stiffer rear spring so I can go back to the oem bar.

Another consideration, I stuffed the rear right shock coming round a 4th gear corner and hitting the strip. Took unit to local place, oh we can't rebuild this. So no I only want to go with Cusco or Tein, and rebuildable units. Both brands are both represented here.

Spring rate wise, my research and considering the extra weight of the v8, leads me to want rears about 1.25-1.3 stiffer than the front. To go back to oem rear bar, I'm thinking rear at 9. Which puts front at 7-8. I'd prob go 8. Or maybe 9 front, 10 rear. I'll prob go 8 front, 9 rear, and see how that goes. Both the monosports and zero3s can come in that config. And both can also come in 9f10r. So I can try the stiffer springs later.

I've corrected the rear roll centre as best I can. Subframe raised. I could get a tubular subframe made with roll centre correction. But its quite a bit lighter, and I dont want to take weight out of the back. I could look at getting the wisefab rear knuckles. Im just waiting on them to come back to me if they can be used with arms that aren't theirs.

Balance wise, I felt the rsr's understeered. Until I added the rear bar.

I've never used cusco's before, but a few others here have had issues with the street kits. But cusco nz sorted them out.
I had some tein street advances back when I first got the car. They were pretty average.
But for both, you can't judge them on their products at that level. We can question why they cheapen themselves at make products at that level, but clearly they need to to stay in business.

Tyres I run a whole range. My 235 starspecs are pretty much rooted. Have some 240/610-17 full slicks to use next. I realise the rates above are on the soft side for full slicks, but I'm only going to run them because I got them cheap.

The cusco zero 3s is a competition grade unit. Its the same as as the comp zero 3 (which is just the 3x without the ext res) but the 3s is just softer sprung and valved to suit. I like that. Knowing the the unit is their comp unit (albeit entry level) and it could be revalved to be a comp zero 3.

The tein aren't like this. And are more of a stand alone product line.

Hard to find reviews across any platform on either product, as both are quite new.

The teins for me are cheaper. About 25%.

I already have rose jointed arms and solid bushings everywhere. Just getting new front lca's made atm.

I wont be running camber bolts anymore. They're okay on the street. But on the track they keep coming loose every few sessions. No matter how much I tighten them. Wont need them with top hats and lca anyway.
