I have a friend who worked for the local Toyota dealership here in Hawaii. He told me don't ever put rust proofing because the cars are rust proofed in the factory. Sadly I had it done on my previous car, Scion XA
. That gunk was stuck all over on the wheel well and mud guards.
It was like black tar. I feel your pain!
