For those strapped for time, this is the route I'd recommend: install the short shifter alone, FIRST, then at a later time or date install the bushings.

You'll only need to unscrew one bolt for the mount bushing, but you'll need to use your jack after you get the car up on 4 jack stands to relieve the weight on the transmission mount when you replace that bushing.

The rear bushing is a bit more of a pain in the arse to put in b/c it's firmer than OEM, and there's not much room for your hands AND the bushing up in the tunnel.
