convex is one mirror con-vexed one continuous radius/bend.
split, is split or two mirrors. not sure which is where, inside/outside. description says "Aspherical split-convex glass" so its not one radius, but rather two bends. again, not sure which is where.
no point of making a fake, especially a low cost item that sells in low numbers. helix isn't that great of a brand, and plenty of people have problems with seals on their side markers. I trust 99%+ rating on ebay, and I check feedback if I am worried at all.
I hope someone can post pics or describe what the split ones do. I don't want the stupid looking blind spot mirror stickies.
