just poke around in
here and get yourself some LEDs. I've replaced every halogen/incandescent bulb on the car with LEDs and it looks a lot better.
Also, the car makes funny noises sometimes. 6MT might rattle or thud occasionally, and the motor sounds like a diesel at low RPM. Don't freak out like I did--it's fine.
And seriously, follow the instructions for the break-in. Subaru makes the engine; I trust them to know how to break it in for maximum reliability. The car can still be plenty fun below 4k RPM. Suck it up and be a boring adult for 1k miles.
