IMO they're not particularly difficult to get to.
remove seat bottom, remove bottom door sill from front door, pull a little bit of weather sealing, like 3~4 push pins, and then pull the whole panel off.

I am in a similar quandary with system choices. I do NOT want to add weight so I am trying to be smart with choices and replace the factory amp with something of similar size and weight to at least drive the fronts. Going either Kenwood Excelon or Alpine, but probably will end up with Kenwood Nav. The rear speakers are a pain to get to I understand (anyone have a DIY on getting to them without breaking any tabs etc..)?
Secondly, if you are spending the time to get in their and Dynamat, why not upgrade the speakers...or just take the caps off the little guys and run with it crossing them over with sound processing etc.
