Mine is not raspy, but I have a resonated Perrin catback and catted Perrin front pipe, so even that comparison isn't fair, and it's really subjective since one's priority might be on quietness, which the catted would definitely win, whereas another's might be on volume, which the uncatted would win.
As far as I can slice or dice it, the FT86SF Catted UEL serves a different population than the uncatted counterparts out there, and when we're specifically talking about OFH, I don't think you can go wrong with FT86SF vs. OFH, so long as you know what you're looking for. Price/value, I'd have to give it to OFH, of course, but if you need/want a cat, then I'd definitely give it to FT86SF.
