A gas turbine running at designe rpm generating electricity is around 98%~ efficient where as outside the desgned range it's fairly inneficient.. And to drive the car directly it would need to change rpm, unless through a cvt
That's a good point although I'm a little surprised by 98% even at a fixed speed and load. I'd expect closer to 40-50% efficient before converting it to batter power.
