TL;DR Fake STI kits fit fine in my experience… I originally had purchased the STI front lip and the STI rear aprons things, as expected they went on fairly easy and there was no real drama, the two items cost me nearly $1000 so I'd hope it would be direct bolt on. Seeing as though this car is a daily driver and the front lip cost a fortune, I bought a fake STI style front lip and fake STI rear aprons for about $200. When they arrived they were glossy so I went to a auto shop and bought some rattle can paint that looked like the real STI matte black and gave it about 5 or 6 coats. I figured the fakes would be a pain to install but they actually fit just as well as the OEM STI parts, direct bolt with two spots where I drilled for extra strength… I ended up selling the STI lip pieces because I honestly could not tell the difference minus the STI badge…

If you were looking at a more complex kit with fenders then I would say stay away from ebay, but imo buying the fake sti lip kit off ebay for the lower look is a no brainer for the money.
I would say @JonMotoring is solid to go through as a vendor on the forum, he has some good package deals and he was good to work with in my personal experience, his prices are pretty competitive with ebay, shipped it might be a fraction more but its still about 80% cheaper than OEM STI :P
