If you're really not in a rush and your sister's TC is in good shape there's no harm in waiting.
There's nothing new happening in 2015, but we should at least know whether there will be any changes for 2016. Then you can make the call if you like the changes or not. You'll still be able to find the current gen if you want, or wait a little longer for the next gen.
In the meantime, put some money away. After a year you'd have a nice down payment ready and if you decide to wait for a possible next gen you'll have an even nicer down payment ready to go.
It is a gamble though. Toyota has the nasty habit of pricing their vehicles out of their class with subsequent versions, and if Toyota doesn't do it the dealers do by tacking on every available option. The FR-S as it currently stands is just not a 30k+ dollar car.
