If they pursue the pinnacle of technology to it's logical conclusion, we'd soon have hydrogen fuel cell power units in F1. No hydrocarbons, no pollution, just water vapor with no sound except maybe a tea kettle whistle.
Of course nobody wants that, either. I vote a return to hydrocarbon
engines with displacement limited by rule depending on n/a or t/sc, let teams play with cylinder configuration and layout.
