My thoughts on going back to V8's.
- Reducing costs means not changing engines and aero packages for those engines every year.
- F1 is supposed to be the pinnacle of racing, but also the pinnacle of technology. If we go back to non-hybrid V8s the Ford CMax will have more advanced technology than an F1 motor.
- The fans HATED the V8s at first too. Switching back after one year seems like a knee jerk reaction that is appeasing 10% of the crowd.
- Rather than putting V8s back in, why not focus on BOP and make the field more competitive. Fans will flock to great racing, not great noise.
